Clear

Trying to say "good bye" to a friend is one of life's most intimate moments.
To match this sentiment I deliberately kept the production intimate as well with principally voice and cello supported only by piano about half way through the song. James Avery
CLEAR (Sept. 1, 2009)

Such an honor it’s been to know you as friend,
Though I’ve paid a price now and then,
You were the one to always lead us on your way,
Now there you’ve gone and here we stay.

And it hurts too much to know
You’ll not be at my door,
Though if I could I would
Make it so once more,
To hold you in my arms oh so near,
To hear your voice again oh so clear.

My voice can’t find the words to tell you how I feel,
My mind is blocked with thoughts surreal,
The pain of loss abounds within my heart this day
Cause here I stand, there you lay.

And it hurts too much to know
You’ll not be at my door,
Though if I could I would
Make it so once more,
To hold you in my arms oh so near
To hear your voice again oh so clear, (clear, clear)

May hope and faith above keep you until
That day when next we meet on joyous shores I will,
Hold you in my arms, oh so near
And hear your voice again, so clear (clear)
