THE WALLS (Nov. 10, 2009)

These acts of our nights
When brought to daylight
Cause guilt to rush in
We’ll mire in sin
No faith will make this right
So hold to the scene
That love is lust’s dream
And time may cease to be

‘Til the walls tumble one by one
To show us those things we’ve done
Like the candlelight upon your skin
At the moment I move deep within
And ecstasy loses heat
With sin kneeling at my feet
So hold on to the stuff of dreams
For life is not what it seems

Instrumental:

This flesh upon flesh
And breath upon breath
It takes to the heart
And tears worlds apart
When truth comes to rest
So hold to the scene
That love is lust’s dream
And time may cease to be

‘Til the walls tumble one by one
To show us those things we’ve done
Like the candlelight upon your skin
At the moment I move deep within
And ecstasy loses heat
With sin lying next to me
So hold on to the stuff of dreams
For life is not what it seems
