SOUTHERN ODYSSEY

I simply tried to imagine myself riding on a bus with a beautiful woman getting on. The story speaks for itself. James
SOUTHERN ODYSSEY

Heading out at night, though desperate were the times
‘til she got on the bus, now I’m wishing she was mine

So I stood up, I offered her my seat,
When she got on that bus, you know I could not let her be

I looked her way, hoping for some chance
But she looked out the window, without a second glance

Thinking ‘bout Southern Odyssey,
When she got on that bus, you know, I could not let her be

Street lights, they glistened in her hair
Left a glow, sparkles everywhere
Now as I pondered what to do
We headed west down Austin Ave.
When she got on that bus, you know, I could not let her be

Hear the words I say, oh hear them true
I want to make love, yeh all night long with you
Call it Southern Odyssey, that’s you and me
Well she got off the bus, oh no, should have let her be

Let her be,
Let her be,
Let her be___
Oh, let her be.
