Long John Baldry/ Music History - April 12, 2010

A piece of music history culminated on April 2 at World Blue Audio, Kelowna,B.C., Canada when FOUR former members of LONG JOHN BALDRY'S BAND were reunited on JAMES AVERY'S "Down to the River" track as JOHN LEE SANDERS (piano and background vocals) and SHERMAN DOUCETTE (blues harp) were added to the previously recorded ANDREAS SCHULD (guitar)and NORM FISHER (bass guitar; Norm is currently with Bryan Adams band). These artists bring incredible "authentic roots" to this southern blues/rock song. The song references Dylan, Fogerty, Young and Mitchell as the river represents the flow (and influence) of the music of these great songwriters, et al.. PRESS "MUSIC" tab to check out the MP3 sample of this new song. Ron McClean, Executive Producer, Avery Communications

Song Writing/Recording Mode - March 9, 2010

The momentum of the "textures canadiana" project has carried forward into 6 new songs to date. We have rolled directly into recording mode starting with early production work on 4 of these new tunes. A few of these songs will deliberately be underproduced (i.e. as basic as possible). I feel the inherent sentiment for 3 of these 6 new songs will best be realized by keeping them very organic. I know this will please some who appreciate hearing little more than a songwriter performing their song with little or no backup. James Avery (March 9, 2010).
